Pray and Support our Missionaries
We encourage you to pray, support and encourage our missionaries:

Local Outreach & Evangelism
Join us for local evangelism and outreach events that are scheduled throughout the year. Outreach may include opportunities to pass out tracts, feed the homeless, or host local concert outreach venues. Free Tracts are available at the Resource Stop – located at Calvary. Call for opportunities and scheduled events. 

Mexico Missions
Destination: Maneadero, Baja California
Travel Documents: Passport Required

Join us as we travel 85 miles south from the US / Mexico border, to minister in the communities of Maneadero, Ensenada. During these weekend trips, we assist local pastors and churches, visit Casa Esperanza (a home for battered and abused mothers and children), and establish outreach events at the youth in the Detention Center (Ensenada). We also help in areas of construction throughout the community. Speaking Spanish is not a required to serve God in Mexico. Call for more info or scheduled trips.

PRAYER MINISTRY

Those involved in this ministry are available for the prayer needs of people after each service. Further involvement is available with our weekly prayer meeting on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m., as we intercede for the needs of those in the church, their families and friends. Convalescent Ministry – Victoria Care Center

Join us on the second Sunday of each month. This ministry serves the elderly saints at Victoria Care Center. They meet for corporate worship and the Word, followed by one-on-one fellowship and prayer. This ministry takes place at Victoria Care Center in Ventura, at 2:00 p.m., located at 5445 Everglades Street. Call for more information.

Time 4 Faith – Media Ministry

Time 4 Faith (Time4Faith.com) is the teaching and media outreach ministry of Don Modglin. The mission of this ministry is to spread God’s Message, through expositional Bible teaching by the use of media. CD messages are available for the teaching of each service, at the Resource Stop located at Calvary. If you would like us to send a specific message on CD, please contact us.

Ushers / Greeters / Welcome Ministry

These ministries involve greeting God’s people upon entry to all Calvary main sanctuary services. These ministries offer the first point of contact with people that join us at Calvary. If you love to smile and greet God’s people, then we want you to get involved! Call the Church or contact Dan O’friel, for more information.

Worship Ministry

This ministry is for those who have been musically gifted by the Lord and have a passion to use their gifts and talents to glorify Jesus. The goal of this ministry is to lead others through music to the person of Jesus and encourage people to “come before His presence with singing” Psalm 100. From our weekly main services to convalescent homes, there are opportunities to get involved. Worship practice takes place on Monday nights. Counseling Ministry

Biblical based instruction and support is available for those who desire a biblical viewpoint and direction for areas of life (including marriage and pre-marriage support). Peer support and or Pastoral assistance are available through appointment only. Bring your cares, challenges or concerns and receive direction through God’s Word. Please call the Church Office at (805) 642-1435 to schedule a biblical instruction session.

Sports Ministry

The focus of this ministry is Jesus-centered outreach through sports. This includes a softball league during seasons of the year. For more information call the Church.

Technology Ministry

This ministry is for those who have been technologically gifted by the Lord and have a passion to use their gifts and talents to glorify Jesus. The goal of this ministry is to use technology and media to lead others to the person of Jesus. From our website to other media presentations, there are opportunities to get involved. Resource Stop

The Resource Stop at Calvary Christian Fellowship is a great place to find just what you need to further your walk with the Lord. We have a limited variety of Bibles, Christian books, music, DVDs, and Bible studies on CD. Hours of operation are before and after each service.
 

Calvary is a Christian Fellowship in Ventura where we gather for the purpose of knowing, growing, and glorifying Jesus Christ. We desire to see all people become committed to live by faith as followers of Jesus Christ.
